M3 shell for cheap

    But you have experience, knowledge, tools, skill...time, etc and even then you'd have to ask yourself was it worth it when you can still find a clean M3 shell for say...$5k. I was speaking in terms of someone who isn't capable and will have to find someone else to do the work. It makes sense that the older the car is the less replacement options you'd have so full restoration is the only option unless someone reproduced the shell. E30's aren't quite there yet. You can still find replacement shells but it will get harder and harder as time goes by. I hear ya though, I don't think a little rust is anything to worry about but people simply rather not deal with it if they don't have to. Perhaps it's a West coast dry climate thing.
