How much would you pay for:

    Hi,

I am looking to buy my first E30 and thought id ask all you people who have been there and done it for some advice.

How much would you pay or what do you think a sensible price would be for:

White 1988 E30 325i cabriolet, chrome bumpers, checkered interior, 4 speed auto, full bmw service history (give or take a couple when it was hardly used), 30K miles on the clock, rust free bodywork, not a mark on the bodywork or the interior, original SE alloys, additional BBS alloys, hard top, electric soft top.

    Thanks

Over here in the states that would be listed for about $20,000. Offer 5 and see what they say ;). Hopefully some England r3vers will chime in.

            I wouldn't.

But around this neck of the woods, a nice E30 is in the $6-8k range.

I suspect, depending on where you are in Blighty, you'd be looking at #6-10k...

            but whaddo I kno?

We got some very different answers on here from tree fiddy to $20,000.

So I thought id try and find out a different way, I rang a specialist dealer who deals in modern classic cars.

I described the car and the dealer told me they would give me £6000 - £7000 for it and sell it for £9000 - £10,000. So in reality I guess its worth somewhere in the middle, maybe £8000.

So it looks like gtdragon980 wins this one with £7-10K

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Right, and then R3V comes along and offers them $2500 :nice:

So $11-16K USD. But then again you're in the UK, so e30 values wouldnt be the same.

And yes, r3v would definitely offer 2-2.5k
