Nice ^^^^ I have had my e30 for the past 13 years with an auto as a daily driver. Wanted a 5 speed e30 so i went and bought another e30. So i have he best of both worlds now.

I find myself shifting auto trans.... but agreed great for a cruiser. Gas mileage sucks however.

I don't mind the auto in my vert. Like said before, it's good for cruising with the top down. But if it's not a vert, definitely would prefer a 5 speed. That's why my e34 is a 5 speed. Best of both worlds. :)

I have both. The auto is nice when just cuzin with the top down. The coupe is the road attacker. But to choose the best driving car, has to be a manual. When the coupe is sold, the cabrio will get an additional pedal.

Simple answer:

Why not have both

My daily is auto & it sits in peak hour traffic everyday, the car I'm building has the man pedal

I got both :) e30 auto, Firehawk 6speed, Corvair 4 speed.

My e30 is an auto and I prefer it that way. I daily drive my E30 and rather sit in daily 45 minute traffic in my auto than a manual.

However, I do have a 2003 6 speed E46 M3 sitting in my garage should I feel the need for manual trans driving.

One of the first repairs I did to mine was have it swapped to 5 speed.

I would convert an auto to a 5 speed as the first mod if an auto was all I could find.
