Why 5-lug over 4-lug......?

Well, E30 M3 5-lug gives you much better front suspension geometry options. But most 5-lug swaps are mediocre.Leave a comment:

Nothings wrong with them at all, except that none of them are wide enough for my liking. If you haven't seen my build lately i'm going to be north of the 500hp mark. I want some sort of traction......right now for the price and weight the Apex ARC-8 17x10 is what I'm leaning towards. That's about $1400 shipped.
I foresee issues with a smaller wheelI may have the parts to make a set of 3 piece ACT wheels, that would fit your needs, perfectly. I have a line on a set from a vette that are 17x9.5" et 56 now, with what looks to be either 1" or .5" lips on them now. I have a set of 4 2" lips left over from my build of my ACT wheels, so they would either end up 17x10.5" or 17x11" et in the mid 30s I think. Or stay staggered. That work for you?
They look like this, although they are missing the caps.

I looked at the cost of doing a proper 5-lug conversion and realized you can get practically any baller 4x100 wheel setup you want with that budget. Doesn't really make sense unless you're getting a hell of a deal on the parts.Leave a comment:

I drive it every day to work, but it does spend winters in hibernation. I guess my statement was pretty blanket, I would yield if it's a track/performance car that you're looking to 5-lug swap, adapters probably wouldn't be the way to go.Leave a comment:

Because that's how it rolled out of the factory (narrowbody factory 5-lug, oooo yeaaaa).Leave a comment:

But, you have a garage car Josh. IIRC, he is building an insane +500hp track monster.
(I mean that in the nicest way, I'm not dissing your car or you in any way, but yours isn't a DD, nor a track car, right?)Leave a comment:
