Well, I probably will buy it tonight. I am running an i5 3750k, 8gb ram with a gigabyte 7870 OC 2gb GPU. I have run all current gen games at max graphics with no hiccups, hopefully this game will be just the same!

Final release today. Amazing graphic work. All the workarounds that the community had patched together, all part of the options now. 60 fps with everything maxed out. Look ma... no hands.

Don't know how you think $800 can't buy a beast PC, If you watch the deals you can get a beast PC for a cheap price, I spent $1000 and got $2000 worth of stuff on my build. This Black Friday if they deals are out I'll probably upgrade gpu even though the current card is more then adequate.

Oh, for sure. Don't get me wrong, $800 will get you plenty of PC. But when I think "Beast" I think $1500 minimum. Raid the SATA's and Crossfire 6 monitors kinda level. ;)

You can think of computer hardware as an addiction just like our cars. I see people selling $2500 wheels to people with $1500 cars every day. Perspective is a bitch.

                    MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
                    Memory: Corsair XMS 1600Mhz 8Gbs
CPU: i5 2.3 stock clock unlocked and overclocked to 4.2
                    CPU Cooling: Corsair H60 watercooling
PW Supply: Coolmaster Silent Pro Gold 800 watt
Graphics Card: Nvidia ASUS GTX 660ti that I have overclocked a bit but cant remember exact numbers
Sound: Corsair Vengence 1500 headset (pretty much the best headset I have ever owned)
                    Keyboard: Razer Arctosa
                    Mouse: Razer Deathadder 3500 DPI
                    Storage: 3x 60gb Samsung SSDs
                    OS: Windows 7
Case: whatever was the cheapest mid tower at microcenter
Monitor: ASUS VS248H-P 24" Monitor (got it as an open box item :D)

My total savings with all the coupons was like 450-500 area IIRC.

My start up time from pushing the button to being in game is about 20-30 seconds MAX. (I LOVE SSD hardrives)

So my build would have been around 1.5-1.7k and that was a few months ago, last I checked they just cut ALL the prices on the graphics cards from a few months back by a lot! So should be able to build something better than my comp for about the same price.

Hopefully we can persuade some "hardcore" console players to come to the dark side.

Care to explain how your definition of a "beast PC" differing from someone else's justifies insulting them?

I've got a Fanatec GT2 wheel (three pedals, gated 6-speed shifter, 900 degrees rotation) that I've been using with Xbox games for years now. Mostly Forza 4, Dirt 2/3, and the Codemasters F1 titles.

I loaded Assetto Corsa up tonight, running off my Macbook Pro. This game is KILLER. I'm looking forward to more development. I may have to buy a tower to run it proper. (The notebook can't handle AI cars without stuttering.)

I've got my hopes up that someone will build an autocross mod.
