I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a smog test type of thing. IIRC think it's against CA law to *sell* a dual outlet muffler as a replacement for a car that came from the factory with a single. But don't quote me on that.
I think spyke is going to cover metal door cards with his design and I will cover plastic door cards with mine. More details to come.
Cool. Will yours have more cover area than the ones spyke posted pictures of ? I saw that they lack covering the locking rod and I am sure that would get annoying rattling around. Ill be keeping an eye for more updates.

I talked to Spyke about buying a set of his plastic door cards. He does really good work with some beautiful graphics. How ever the price he quoted me for 4 black door and rear cards in my 2 door was very restrictive. Lets just say if I had added $200 onto his quote I could have bought a 4 point racing bolt in bar. I just cant justify that kind of money for door cards in a track car even if they are superb.
If you guys could find a way to bring the price down closer to $150 for a basic set and still make it worth your while I think you would have a lot of quick sales. I really like the idea of these, especially with the door pulls. The arm rests constantly get in my way.

I did not mean that as a dis on Spyke. As I said his work is great, and from talking to him he seams like a really great guy. I just wanted to point out that a certain price range will scare off a certain customer bracket.
Maybe this work cant be done for the price I had in mind. I dont know, but for those of us that are more into building a track/autox car and less into building a show car, it can be harder to spend large amounts of money on less functionally important pieces.

Im trying to cover the plastic side of the market. Im planning to ask spyke where he gets his graphics and offers those too, and come Monday I should be closer to a final prototype. Also Fear can offer some of the nice leather door pulls.
Budget is always a concern for modders like us, and aluminum is obviously more costly than plastics. Hence Sloan's option here is a great alternative for those who don't mind a trade-off in materials, or who don't have to meet track safety requirements.
I design and print/cut all my own graphics, so as mentioned we may be working together in that regard.
Looking nice so far! Does that clear the weather stripping when opening/closing?
