I disagree, I think it is the very essence of the original GTO. Big V8 in a small car that doesnt look like it should have a v8......

uhh.. you ever seen a GTO? I wouldn't exactly call it a small car. ;)

anyway, looks badass to me, but the design will probably get ass raped on it's way to the states.

I agree, but I just wish they didn't make it look like a bloated cavalier.

If you haven't seen what the new GTO looks like yet, you're going to be very disappointed. I was anyway. :?

The front of the GTO looks horrendous. Thank goodness I'm in Australia and arent subject to having to watch people drive past me in these.

well, i gotta say, as the Monaro, i like it....as the GTO, i think maybe it looks a little soft ... i dunno, its just that the old GTOs had such a big road presence, whereas the Monaro/GTO, is a somewhat softer car!? i think? ... maybe its just the current design trends that bring the size down ... that said ... i think it is a really nice looking car ... the lines are clean, and it is sleek ... just what a big coupe should be ... HSV try to dress up the car with aggressive body kits and such, but i find that the best looking examples are simply slammed on nice rims ... the agro kits detract from the sleekness. clean coupe styling is the way to go.

But yeah, wait till u guys start seeing modded examples rollin' around ... they look pretty damn tough!!!

Oh but it was small for it's time in comparison to other cars of it's time, with the exception of the Ford Falcon.

The GTO looks like the Menaro's bitch. I would have preferred if they just brought it over unmolested.

You should see the HSV AWD Monaro, that car is HOT. The wheel arches really add to the Monaro's look imho.

HSV has produced over 85,000 cars since unveiling the first 'Walkinshaw' at the Sydney Motor Show in 1987.

Only 200 are being made unfortunately, at a cost of over AUS$90,000.

                              :(
