    VDO thingy

hey guys i am in the process of restoring a 1985 318i sedan and there are a few things i dont have a clue about, for example the unit in the pictures i attached. i want to know what it does really, is it important to be reconnected again? would it cause any problems what so ever if i leave it out? it says vdo on it

That's the cruise control actuator. It won't hurt to remove it, but you won't have cruise control anymore...

I'd leave it if you're not using the space for something else. I love using my cruise control on the Hwy.

i'll still remove it, because in anyways i cant use cruise here, too many traffic on the roads. plus it will make the bay look much simpler and cleaner
