LOL! instead of all these ridiculous suggestions, how about you go order a new key from bmw and wait 2 days for it to arrive?

edit: you know what, that might be a bit too simple. Id actually reccomend a brick through the window. Good luck figuring it out

I would pull the rear windshield out. If you break it it's soooo much easier to find at the junk yard. Windshields have chips, cracks ect. Really good suggestion either way

Shove a close hanger between door jam and window and grab lock, pull up bitch. Done it many times but need to have flared top ones to grab

Easier to source maybe, but a complete PITA to R&R. I'd rather break door glass, clean and replace it than have to deal with the lock strip or the corner locks on the rear glass.

As mentioned, the best solution is to prove ownership and get a new steel cut key from the dealer.

If you have pop out rear windows, you can take a pry bar to it. The old, dried out, plastic latch will break before you even mess anything up.

Im sorry but this isnt true. I locked my keys in my car and tried to pry it open and the window just exploded.

I was DDing some friends home from the bar with the rear windows popped open. Not knowing that one of the girls passed out I driftoed around a corner, and when regaining grip in the straight her head quickly proved that the old and tired plastic latch breaks before the glass does.
                            She didn't even wake up.
