    hydrophobic spray...rust protection?

Anyone try the hydrophobic sprays you can get at home depot on their car? I was thinking it could be way better to use than stuff like waxol for wintering

I doubt it would hold up long to the elements, plus you'd have to get the underbody super clean for it to stick in the first place.

Was looking at the never wet website... Their vids look pretty impressing. Has high heat tolerance too. I might try it when I replace the wheel well panels

I could see using it on a vert top but, that's about it.

Wait shit that's a really good idea. Too bad it's rained like twice in the past year here
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

If you don't care about the whitish finish...it only costs $20 bucks

If it is a silicone based product, repainting a treated surface may be very difficult in the future.

yea just looked it up...silicone based. One thing that is crazy about it is since its in spray form its highly likely that the everyday person could inhale it...could lead to chronic lung conditions, cancer etc.

They do have a paint form which i may check out

It leaves a hazy matte finish, I wouldn't do it...Maybe if you were thinking for the undercarriage or something not visible.
