what car is that on the front, and what class/series would cars like that race in? I think its sweet lookin', but i wouldn't know where to start looking for those races.

It's a Porsche 935...they raced in a number of series in the mid-late seventies. Modern day equivalent would be the ALMS. The first one is next weekend in Sebring.
