If it were manual there would be a lot of buyers lined up for more.

Baby blue, four doors, bottle caps, tan vinyl comforts, automatic. To many e30 enthusiasts, any of those individually could be a deal breaker but the combination is impressively undesirable. The good news is that you love it, so who cares what it is "worth". To be helpful, in this case, I think NADA will give you an accurate valuation since I don't think there is any hidden collectable value here.

I had no trouble selling my 91 4 door for $5k in Austin. Price it a little lower than that due to the automatic. I would guess around $4000-4500.
Tell me again how popular (see:value) tri-five sedans are?

It's a good looking car, but lacks the enthusiast appeal. As Fronton said, its missing the target for MOST of us. There is someone out there that is looking for this car, but I doubt they would pay more than $4000 for it.

I know you want it unmolested, but a manual swap, slightly lower suspension (think bilstein/H&R), sports seats, and OEM+ wheels like euro weaves or e38 style 5's with properly sized tires (205/50) will add a lot to the appeal and value. Although you may not get back what you get into it, depending on deals you get.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Looks like a nice car. I could see it going for $3500-4k as is.

Give it a 5spd and it's a real winner. And that rear plate surround is HIDEOUS. Put on a euro plate filler.

Two ways to look at it.

First, if I was purchasing an E30, this would not be the one I would look into. Just too plain. I would buy a two door 325is, fully loaded with real leather, sport seats and the such. Basically fully loaded and no the automatic doesn't bother me.

If this was already my car, I would in no way modify it, no way. This is how BMW intended it to be. If you want to molest a car then by a Honda Civic. Old or not, this is a BMW.

I own a 1987 325i Convertible and no matter how bad some other members wanted me to motify the car I have (father was original owner), I would not. The car has been the way it has been since 87, it is not time to mess with a classic. I totally changed everything out but everything with oem new.

NADA pricing does not apply to private owner selling! They are what you (The consumer) can expect to pay when buying from a DEALER. Having the car live up to DEALER selling and law standards, and everything purchasing from a DEALER entails. That's why it's "Retail" pricing, as you'd be buying from a licensed "Retailer".

Sorry if I sound a bit harsh, it just really grinds my gears when people think the National Automotive DEALER Association pricing, applies to them.

Sometimes a private sale value can greatly exceed Blue and Black book value, I'm not denying this. MOST of the time though, it's considerably less.

3-4K, to the right buyer as most have mentioned, i don't see it as valuable as you see it.
IMO the fact that its missing a pedal, is its biggest drawback.

Bad tint job is the real deal breaker.

Not true at all. As an enthusiast I value a stock/unmolested car over a modified one as I want to build the car my own way and want one that wasn't beat on.

Might be a negative to you, but "to any enthusiast" is quite a stretch.

I too want bone-stock, but two less doors too.
