it is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay you for it.
all of these guys are WAY more generous with the $$$ than I would be. I probably wouldn't even look at a bone stock 4 door auto. it is about finding the right customer.

interesting rear license plate surround. Car presents nicely. $4-5K given that it's an auto & a 4-door. I LOVE sedans, but as stated above, the enthusiast community in general doesn't value them as much as 2 doors...

I would say 2.5 - 5k depending on all the stuff that we cant see in the pictures. Is that a big nasty ding in the drivers fender or just a bad reflection? If so that is going to hurt the value a fair bit.

I'm probably more optimistic (for you) than most others here. So, we all know that 4 door autos aren't particularly desirable, but it's low mileage and in good condition. I think 5k is a reasonable price for this car, not even a range. Someone might pay a bit more, but it's not low enough mileage to get premium money, and it's the least desirable package. Given what clapped out e30's are going for, ignore the 2k or less people. Hell, there are non-running cars for sale for 1500 right now.

Bullshit my good sir. There's a many of us that love 4 doors and have a very hard time finding a nice one. So we are just as willing to pay for it as someone after a nice 2 door.

I had no trouble selling my 91 4 door for $5k in Austin. Price it a little lower than that due to the automatic. I would guess around $4000-4500.

yes, but just because YOU love it, doesn't mean everyone else does too.
take 510's for example; sure there's a niche that likes the luxury of having those two extra doors, but in general for enthusiasts, 2 doors always fetch the premiums.

Like everyone said 3-5k if your wanting a little more then pick up a 5sd and swap it, get over not molesting it because not many people want an autotragic. That's just a cold hard fact.

it looks nice. i guess we are just trying to tell you the car has desirability concerns. as in a lack of it.

                            the plusses:

good shape and apparently well taken care of.
low miles-assuming they are original and the odo actually works.
                            "i" engine

                            the negatives:

                            sedan.
f'ing automatic-i have bought and sold about 15 e30's autos are like death to resell.
                            boring interior.
bone stock-yes this is a negative to any enthusiast

that certainly isn't a car for me. if i owned it here in houston, i would try to sell it for about 3700.00. in this local market, i couldn't expect to see any more than this. since you are in dallas, i would assume your market is really similiar to mine. i also think it would sit for a month or two at that price before i found a buyer.

if you were in cali or the pnw, i would say perhaps 5.5-6k. however you are in texas. these cars simply don't have the popularity here.

i know this isn't what you want to hear, but you asked....so above is the honest opinion.

here is a link to a car i sold a year ago. imo, i would say my "e" would be a lot more desirable than your sedan.

it wasn't perfect, but it was really really nice.

back to your car: you seem to have an emotional attachment to it. that won't get you a better price. perhaps it was your grandma's car or you purchased it from some grandma off craigslist. the problem is that grandma's drive boring relatively undesirable cars.

i kind of get the impression you purchased or were given this car with the intention of reselling it? perhaps you should just keep it and drive it if it doesn't get the money you think you need for it. personally, when i resell a car, its more or less a piece of metal to me. i price it so i don't have to sit on it for months.
