Official "favorite engines" thread

Being an engineering student (who's stuck at home sick and bored out of his mind) and an automotive nerd I'm pretty fascinated with internal combustion engines. At the redline, pistons are moving supersonic, valves are opening and closing hundreds of times a second, and in each cylinder a controlled explosion is happening multiple times. Although the internal combustion engine is old tech, its still pretty amazing if you think about it.

So guys, what are your favorite engines?
