    Engine swap experiences

I have been looking around the Internet for experiences people had with engine swaps in e30s. I know the E30 is a light nimble car and I would think some engine swaps would negate that.

I have looked at m42 (turbo) , m/s5x, and m/s6x swaps. Not sure how any of these would make the car feel. Some argue that the 6 cylinders add too much weight and that it hangs too far forward, but wouldn't an m42 turbo add close to the same weight at a 6 cylinder? And I'm guessing the 8 cylinders would be very nose heavy.

If anyone can share there experiences that would be great.

bottom line is if you have a 4 cyl car ie 318 or M3 youre going to lose that nimble feel we all love. But its a trade off. You can dial some out with suspension tuning. All my cars are swapped and they all handle well.
Plus there are so many variables how you do your swap. Some guys retain ac and PS some strip it all out.. Its worth it to me because Im just not happy with 4 cyl power
