Evening everyone - new to forum

Evening been lurking around the site for a while as I was trying to figure out which direction to go. Fell in love with the e28 m5 years and years ago and that started my BMW addiction (for lack of a better word).

Recently I purchased a 76 2002 after a semi ran over the hood of my 325 a year or so ago. In my search for parts for an engine swap i picked up a 535i and a 1984 318, but after seeing how clean and straight the 318 was I couldnt in good conscience send it to the scrap yard.

SOOOO because of the depth of the mods needed to finish the 2002 I decided to do an engine swap on the 318 as the M10 isnt running and i have an m50 sitting in a wrecked 320.

I look forward to your input on every stage of the build, and hope that someday I will be able to return the favor and offer someone some useful input.

So you bought a 318 for parts, and are going to m50 swap it instead? I like your style. I picked up a 325 for a winter car and now it's getting repainted/interior swapped/plastic bumper swapped. E30s have a way of sucking you in.

Thanks ya never intended on rebuilding the 318 but funny how things just seem to take on a life of their own. There is a 94 530 v8 with a manual transmission i could pick up and use for the e30 as well. ;D

              ain't that the truth.

welcome. I'm out in AB/SK myself. re: your cars, I second the M50 motion. Great reliable engine, and everyone needs a reliable car in their fleet. I would summer the 2002 because -IMO- it's not really a performance platform. I think a nice resto or resto-mod would be the ticket.
