    91 318i 3.0 ho swap CONFUSION?!?!?!

so before I get the hate ..yes I did google this with no results.

I currently own a 91 318i. the original m42 has almost 300.00 miles and still running good. but when it decides to shit out on me or I just get tired of it I want to swap it to a 5.0 from a foxbody.

I want to just buy a fox and swap everything over into my e30 BUT. I need to know how to set up the wireing harness and how to set it up with my e30 chassis harness. ik I have to use half of the foxbodys driveshaft and half of my e30 . and I know I need to modify the oil pan. is there anything else that im missing??? from what ive read it a pretty straight forward swap.

thanks feel free to text/ call me if youd rather talk in person 8607970887

Wait, a 3.0 or 5.0 swap? And only 300 miles?

Yeah, put a 3.0 SHO in there. That'd be cool as fuck.

You could buy all the parts needed to do it and instructions from e30v8.com, I would say going with a carbureted setup would be your easiest bet as far as wiring that way you don't need to figure out more than half a dozen wires. As for the driveshaft have a custom one made to spec once you figure out your trans choice and mounting.

do I have to have a custome driveshaft made up?? or will I get buy on "rigging one" and I use that term loosely....and I was told to stay the fuck away from e36v8.com due to it being a shitty guide

This is going nowhere fast. Seems like you need to keep researching. All your answers are on the web.

e30 wiring is easy providing you can read a schematic.

As already suggested check the V8 swap sub-forum.

I could tell you everything you need to know, but I'm getting a bit sick of people asking me/ the internet for info that's a simple google search away. Feel free to take a look at my thread and if you have any specific questions, let me know.
