    If our hoods open opposite most cars, wouldn't the hoodpins have to be close to the windshield? This is not a question to be a smartass just wondering and the dark red car is badass.

      No matter where the pins were they would still keep the hood from popping.

          DTM E30 ///M's hoods opened fron the front. I assume other race E30s followed the same philosophy.

              Yep, even if it still had the standard hardware it still has to slide forward to come out of the rear latches.
