Partly correct, if you by for example home electronics or car parts you pay 20-25% VAT but if you eat at a restaurant its like 12% i think so it varies.
      Greedy mother fuckers :D

Traffic fines is not based on your income in Sweden but it is in Finland i think. Not sure about Norway?

I'll buy off on that one too, just look at Iceland too there are some cool cars coming out of there. Long cold dark winters you have to do something to keep busy. The is a sweet Europameister being restored in Iceland right now. Now exterior skins and the whole nine yards.

This is true. On the mopar boards I hung out at, there were a couple guys from Norway with detailed Charger and Dart build threads.......those were the most beautiful cars I had ever seen. Crazy attention to detail...and if they could not locate a part, they just (properly) fabricated one from scratch.

I just happened to need a winter beater when I put my classic Mini in winter storage. I wanted RWD, and cheap, so I bought a 316iA.

It was a very snowy winter, and it was so much fun, even with the automatic trans and the tiny engine, so my friend bought one the following summer. And I bought a couple more as well.

Norway has 25% tax on everything, basically. And ~30% income tax. We don't get free dental care, but that's about it.

It's quite expensive to live here.

Gasoline is about $10 for a gallon
We have to pay congestion charge to drive into the main cities (~$9, I pay about $30 every day :hitler: )
We have to pay $500 in road tax every year
The cheapest apartments to rent (in my town at least) are $1000 a month (and they suck)
                        And cars are insanely expensive.

If we hook up all the scandinavian E30s maybe we could drag scandinavia a bit more south? Like next to the Canary islands? :D
