    my deck won't play mp3s

ok so I have an alpine cda-7894 which is xm ready, and mp3 capable. Well I burn MP3 files and try to play it but it doesn't read anything and an error message shows up. Well I tried using another MP3 format CD which I know it works cause in my other deck it worked fine. Does anyone out there have this deck that has the same problems or am I just a goober and dont know how to use my deck?

    2 possibilities:
its anal about what type of blanks you use: my sony mp40 is..
    or
"mp3 capable" means that it can be wired with an mp3 device.. in other words, it was just a marketing thing.

          I have a pioneer ___ cd/mp3 player..and it has trouble with MP3s as well.
When I put a cd of burned MP3s in.. it reads it..finds the titles and all that good stuff..
But about half the songs sound screwy. I'm not really too sure how to describe it.
It sounds like when a cassette tape is playing and starts to get chewed up.
When I play the exact same disc in the DVD player, it plays fine.
If I figure out what's going on, I'll be sure to let you know. But for now.. I don't have any advice to offer. Sorry!

I like my blaupunkt MP3 deck. it's kinda cheap and only has two pre-outs, but the MP3 playback is great and I love the display. :)

well when I mean capable, I mean it plays mp3 files that are burned into a disk
