Will this do the Work? Custom Head Shield for my Turbo (pics

I wonder if this type of aluminum will work in the pipes and the exahust compressor for my 325is turbo?

In one side is the aluminum material and the other face looks like it's fiber, if I go with this , the fiber is the part that will make a "Direct" touch with the pipes and hot parts, so, I wonder if I got very high temps, will this shield get light in fire? I'm afraid to do it with out first know if it will help me...

I took a little piece from the shield that goes in the throttle cable from Jeeps G.CHerokees.

exhaust shielding like that is meant to withstand high temps (assuming that's what you have). it should be fine, it's meant to be wrapped around headers which get very hot.
