Well it was a long haul to and from CO but she's at her new TX home!!! (see pict's)
Overall I'm pleased with the car, the body is rust free other than the damaged area under the battery box, the hit on the right rear didn't cause any structural damage, there are a few other dings & dents but all is fixable, and the interior is in pretty good shape.
It's been sitting since 06 but with a new battery and a little gas it started up and sounded pretty good. There is definitely an issue with the clutch, the exhaust header/manifold gasket is blown, and the steering rack is bad.
I now have something to keep me busy!!!
For those of you interested, the find was strictly by luck!!! I had replaced my 325Ci E46 with a 2012 X3 as a family hauler and bought a 93 325i vert as a back to basic fun car (5 speed man. trans & no computer BS). When my son visited an saw the vert he mentioned a friend of his from CO had a M3 that blew the clutch and was sitting in his garage. I thought this was to good to be true, so make a long story short had him contact his buddy and make an offer on the car. $5K later, including the trip expenses to and from Aurora CO here she sits, a slightly beat up all original 91 M3 with 129K on the clock!!!
