Ireland Engineering has always been slow as molasses and horrible in terms of communication. That's why I've stopped doing business with them.

I've never had timely shipping with IE. One time, I ordered some subframe and trailing arm bushings a month out.

They didn't make it in time.

This thread is ridiculous and should be locked.
The original problem has, or will be resolved very soon, and the rest of the people in here are just bitching.
Really the OP should have just put up a post saying "I am having a hard time reaching anyone at IE. Does anyone have a way I can contact them. Thanks." He would have gotten Andrew in a Jiffy and non of this useless negativity would have been necessary.

Hardly useless. It's telling me a thing or two.

This. Never done business with them before, but this isn't only one complain. Sounds like fast shipping isn't one of their highlights.

They need to take some notes from Bluntech...

Jeremy, I honestly don't mind, in fact I think its a good thing to emphasize we're not like an Amazon or Bluntech (with all due respect to Steve of course, he's a great guy). With websites like that, often the only thing the receiver does is click a button and the order is forwarded through cyberspace to a wholesale parts warehouse chain who then boxes and ships the order. It's efficient and much more likely to make people happy with factors like “shipping times”.

With Ireland, on top of selling parts, the extra dynamic of manufacturing many of our own parts makes things more interesting but more difficult. I honestly wouldn't work here if I didn't get to design and engineer parts. While this doesn't absolve us completely from slower shipping times, hopefully someone might be willing to wait a bit to buy something directly from a fairly small but very knowledgeable company (there's 7 of us all together) that prides itself on selling AND manufacturing parts to the cars we ourselves race and drive every day. It seems to have worked out well enough for the last 25 years.

As for communication, while I don't receive the general email inquiries at work, I've always had an open door to those who contact me directly. Our move over to the bigger shop should hopefully be finished in a week or so.

I ordered some stuff from them a few weeks ago and received everything in a very timely manner. Everything was top quality, but I had a slight issue with fitment. I emailed support and Jeff got back to me very quickly. It turned out that the issue was with my hardware and not their product. Even though it was opened and not on them, I was still offered a full refund since the product wasn't working for me. I found a way through it and didn't need to return it, but the product, response, and customer service was great all around.

As an Update, Andrew emailed me and stated he personally pulled my parts and would ensure they were shipped today.

I really appreciate him taking ownership of this issue and making it happen.

I get the point youre trying to make but we hardly do nothing but click buttons. We handle 30-50 orders a day for BMW not including our automated website orders. So it takes a bit more skill to keep everyone happy than clicking a button. That said we are 2 different business's with our own challenges. I will say Ireland has improved greatly since you came on board Andrew

I oversimplified it to emphasize my point, sorry about that Steve. Sometimes it's got to be much more frustrating to watch the fluctuation on the availability of certain oem bits. Thanks for the kind words.

I've been doing business with IE since probably 2005 or so. Both personally and professionally. They have always been great to deal with and I'm happy we have a company like IE out there that supports the E30 chassis with some cool parts at great prices. Good god if I calculated the money I've spent there...

Thanks to Andrew for being the "face" of IE on the forums. I hope Jeff realizes how valuable this is!

This is the truth... I was properly angry... And he really turned my experience around. Still not ideal, but i will definitely consider business with them again
