    Way to steal my thread James.

    That would be my car. I was under the impression that the timing belt was the least of my worries. I knew it had at least 25-30k miles left on it so when the engine stopped I thought it was something else.

    I'm pretty sure it was done by the guy who I bought the car off of, and not a shop. At first I thought he lied to me about when the timing belt was replaced, but by the look of the remains it still should have had a good amount of life left in it.


    It is not a good feeling when the front of the car suddenly pulls down and you're in the middle of a section of I-5 with no shoulder. Good thing I found an exit while coasting before I stopped completely.


    RIP old m20 head... only 165,000 on you... Your valves/ snapped rocker arms will make good desk ornaments.
