    Advice/input on item prices (m3 content)

    First is a high mileage s50 motor, seller claims 160-170k+ (waiting on vin) ran and drove well just vanos need to be replaced/rebuilt. Complete motor minus harness for $800.

    Second is a e30 m3 shell with rust :(. Rust is mainly contained to foot well area (leaking sunroof) all body panels are included except front and rear windshield (broken). Package deal will include shell and its original e30 m3 5 lug suspension with full ground control coilover suspension + various other suspension mods, and drop in m50 drivetrain. Along with and spare parts etc that they can find, ohh and its technically a m20 + 4lug running status. For 5k

    Ps. Sorry to e30 m3 if reading this lol!

    Any input, suggestions, advice wanted.

      a $5k M3 shell even with rust is a good deal IMO, and since it's in need of work anyway the 24v won't hurt it's value and you can drive the piss out of it.

      highish mileage on the S50 but $800 is pretty cheap.

        For the maximum return on investment, restore the M3 to original configuration/condition. Restored to like new condition those bring high 5 figure numbers.
        The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          Ok, on the rust issue what would be the best approach. Since there is actually a football size hole under the pedal console. would I use regular e30 floorboard metal (inside layer and out) Cut and weld in place or just use normal sheet metal. And how would I go about (unwelding/cutting?) that section to the frame portion?
