They dont make chips for the Super E, the differental wont give you more power but the gear change will give the car new life. Can do something with the intake but that isn't going to give you much. Your best bet for performance with the super is to put an i head on it, with the intake and computer. Then you can get a chip, k&n and you will have some nice power with gobs of torque.

Word. The reason it is called the "super-eta" is because of the use of some e and some i parts with the engine. The Super eta had an i cylinder head, special e/i hybridized pistons, Motronic 1.1 and i exhaust.Originally posted by Stu McYou have the Super Eta motor, you won't find any chips for it.
You need to toss in an 'i' camshaft and valvesprings, as well as intake manifold and throttle body, along with an '87 325i aftermarket chip. Then it'll scoot.
As such, it is rediculously easy to get a 2.7L i with a super-eta motor. My mountains are better than yours.Comment

Did the '88 E have the full 'i' exhaust system? I didn't know that. That's a major bonus also.Originally posted by bimmerphileWord. It has the i exhaust manifold, and the i components, however my muffler is different than the i , the pipes are a lot skinnier and further apart, however i do have 2 exhaust pipes, vs the normal single exhaust of the eta.
And stu, you know an 88 e never existed ;)My mountains are better than yours.Comment

how about an 325i schrick cam, double valve springs with a JC chip for a 325i? instant 2.7i
probably around $800+ for all that, but you'll make a lot of power! :)Comment
