      I ALMOST lost one on the freeway, I pulled over and ran back onto freeway cuz i heard myself run over it...

      Got it back, it was broken tho, so i fixed it, ended up selling it and buying a new one....

      so i guess 2?

        Speaking of IS lips, where do you guys suggest buying them? I'm looking to slap one on my 91 coupe. I see them shipped on ebay for $71.50 total. Is it worth it?

          those are copies. the material quality is poor and they are a little smaller than the real one because the material they use to mold them shrinks.

          a factory one is like $40 more. I'm not sure the loss in quality is worth the small price difference.

          never lost a stock lip. I did lose one rieger lip when I nailed a possum at 80mph. that thing was as big as a dog though.. worst part was I didn't even kill it. :(

              Only lip I've ever broken/trashed was an ebay one, I've knocked my OEM/Ryan g set-up countless times and it still looks brand new. I need to rattle can it on occasion because of rock chips.

              Ebay lips are garbage, you're pretty much throwing money away when you buy one.

                Thanks thats what I needed to know. Well cheapest oem lip I see is $169 shipped on the retail classified page. Does anyone know where to get a cheaper one?

                        I always wondered what it must of been like to be a DOT worker in the 90s...imagine how many of the original OEM lips must of been on the side of the highway.

                        I've never lost a lip. And the roads around here are shit.

                          i've tossed my cookies a few times. i enjoy tossing off a load on occasion. i have hit a few lips with the latter. do any of those count?
