Until it rains and water goes into the cuts under the roundel and makes his trunk floor rust out like mine... If he cuts the trunk lid at all its gotta be replaced. He could get the door lock out at the cost of a new window and probably some cut fingers.Comment

your best bet is going to be rolling the window up somehow.

I wasn't serious. Lol.
I already posted a solution: remove the power window switch, jump power and ground to the harness to wind up the window, and remove the door lock tumbler.
Or, tap into the harness and trigger the solenoids to unlock.Comment

lol I was hoping so. Your idea is probably the best way with out breaking anything. Manual windows FTWComment

Have you guys ever tried to remove a door panel with the door closed? It's nearly impossible without ruining it.

In my experience, all of them have this ability. My 88 and a friend's 91 have the caps. You need to puncture the vapor barrier, but a wrench will definitely wind the window up.Comment

I'm not saying make a hole anywhere but I'm sure there's a way to get this done.
Op try pulling up the door lock a bit, while holding it try to open the door. My car, even double locked, there would be enough play in the passenger side lock to still get the door open.
Will be home soon to check on that trunk lid lock idea.

why would the door have to be closed for removal? if the window is rolled down enough to block the lock cylinder then you can just reach in and unlock the door.
