Awesome day at work... I might move to the shop!

    Hey guys-
I have been working in the parts department for 5 months now, and today my boss told me he wants to get me working in the shop.
He told me that I have too much potential to let it go to waste, and that he wants to see work my way through the shop. I will probably get a sponsorship and go through BMW STEP once I have completed some more classes at city college.

    I am soo excited, I can't contain myself :D :D :D
I have been waiting for this for a long time... 8)

As excited as this guy? ----> :?:

Congrats Ryan. That's going to be a big step, and a BMW Fanatic's true dream.

That, or being a test driver

if they sponsor you through the training that would be sweet, i've got a friend going through UTI and paying like 20k or something crazy. Congrats!!

                      UTI IS A JOKE.
Just to put that out there now.
I looked into it, and for $22k I decided to pass, as I can get into BMW STEP by going through my local city college for $1k and have the same education. It is widly thought at various dealerships I have been to that UTI Graduates are the worst techs they have ever seen. They end up quitting or getting fired in 6 months or less. There is no guarentee that you can get into BMW Step with UTI's program either, so its not the best way to go.

Great news Ryan, I've been slowly more and more thinking about taking the auto classes at my comunity college then try BMW STEP. I've been working on some friends cars and have been loving it.

That's good to hear Ryan. I'm sure you will do fine working in the shop. Knowing what you're ultimately working up to, this is a big break for you.

                              Congrats
