At least in my case it kinda sucks because I blow through tires pretty quickly, I can't get in some parking lots because of the lows and my right rear rubs if I have more than 1 other person in the car.

Could I fix all of that and have a more practical car? Sure. But, I'm dumb.

all e30s need time/ money for fixing and refining. you cant get away from that even if you spend 5k on one.

Cause now that I have started modifying my car I want to do so much more, and I dont have the money for it.

If it was stock I would be happy to have s clean car that runs and is sweet.

          Of course of course
But what I mean is am I going to be constantly fixing one broken thing after another to keep the car running?

Other than a little low and some wheels, I'd be keeping the car mostly stock. What's a good setup to get a good looking but responsible stance? Enough to look sexy but not so much that I'm constantly planning routes to avoid speed bumps and obstacles

It all depends on the car you buy and how well it was taken care of

Oh, honestly my car hasn't cost me much at all maintenance wise. Oil changes and thats about it. Timing belt when needed, coolant, bushings etc.

All I have is suspension, wheels, and seats but I want more cause my car is a pos.

I bought mine with a bad motor. Bought a b25 refreshed it, slapped it in with all new suspion parts up front.

By pos I mean it looks like a pos. It never leaves me stranded. Ever. Knock on wood.

An e28 with an m30 is more-or-less bullet proof if you just do the basics (as long as the suspension isn't mess up so bad that you'll burn through tires)

A $1000 craigs list e30 will cost you more in the long run (well...of 4 years) then a $3000 well maintained e30.

I'm kinda scared that the price will go back down right after buying
Or what if it goes higher?
Sounds promising though, thanks for the input
They've certainly gone up a lot. There is however a guy in my town selling his e30, which I've seen in person and is mint, asking 6.5k with his CCW wheels, i bet if you bought it with bottlecaps you could get outta there on 4k. It is on the original clutch though, so figure a new one will be in order sooner than later.

Oooo. How much does it cost to ship a car?

Yeah I was really looking into an e34 535i, but they just don't turn up around here not with a standard transmission anyway.
I'd look into an e28, but it doesn't appeal to me as much as a sexy, sexy e30

the cheapest e30 to own will be an eta. you can find one in decent shape for $1000-$2000. replace the timing belt and do a cooling overhaul and it should last you til you're out of college. I have bought an eta for $1000 before and it ran smooth.
Bought parts from me before? leave your feedback here

GC Coils. 1k, absolutely worth it. Much better than to spend that up front than to go though 4 different setups that 'work'. And height adjustment is great when you're changing wheels/tires/offsets, I couldn't live without it.
Also you can plan to keep the car stock all that you want…when parts pop up online for a good deal you'll start pulling the trigger on shit you don't need. Trust me ;-)
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
