my bad, didn't see you are from ohio. My engine bay would be black, but my car has no motor so I can't outrun a Mountie if he tries to chase me down and arrest me.

I believe the whole different color bay started from race cars where the chassis is usually powered coated white or gray and what not. I could be wrong. Personally, I think it looks clean if the colors compliment each other (I'm bias because my bay is a different color from the exterior).

I got the idea from muscle cars around my area. But yea youre right about the black engine and black bay.

Do what you want. I think the question you should be asking is "Does it look good" and the person you should be asking is yourself. I remember once this girl had a clean AW car that she and her bf were doing a swap on and painted the engine bay a nice light blue colour. Of course everyone on r3v shit their pants and cried into their mom's tits about it because this is r3v, but in the end, it's your car. That being said, I like off colour painted bays, so long as the colours go together. Either complimentary or clashing on purpose.

It's fine as long as you are happy with how it looks. I did mine light grey.

I remember that car. Looked like a smurf was murdered in the engine bay.
