Need to learn how to tune European vehicles, mainly VW and Audi. Want to specialize in E85, and AWD cars. I keep finding online classes or two day classes. I want to learn everything possible related to tuning, figure it'd be a 6 month class at least. Also need to learn how to make my own programmers and performance chips that control engine as well as transmission. TIA!

Yeah I've read several others on forums recommending the same, if I knew anyone I would. I'd much rather go to school than be a hang around and get on the tuners nerves while he does his job. Thanks though, love the sig.Comment

Sounds like you have a lot of research to do.
The guys at diyautotune.com have a book that is pretty good for people trying to get a hold of the basic concepts behind tuning.
I was exploring the tuner career two years ago, and basically the only way is to make friends with a tuner who is willing to take you on as an apprentice. I personally didn't find any schools that seemed worth the money. A couple thousand for a week long class is not worth it.Comment

Yeah I keep finding schools like you mentioned. If I knew someone I would. Thing is, I don't get a dyno unless I go to school for it, so school is the only option. Lol I didn't think I'd have this hard of a time looking for a dyno school, must...keep....searching......Comment

If you are just trying to learn the tuning side then I would recomend getting some books, buying a cheap car that has a good aftermarket support and then buying a the necessary firmware to tune said car along with and jump in with two feet after reading and understanding all the concepts.:shock:Originally posted by blunttechComment
