We could always link up at 9 am somewhere and caravan to the actual spot?

so is anyone trying to caravan down there from the north? I know that i'll be driving down sometime on friday with patrick in his turbo e28 and joc in his e28, so i could use some extra e30 love for the drive.

as for meeting up, everyone meets at the hawthorne!

If it was only a couple weeks later in the year I would totally stop by on my way through NC. This is an event I've always wanted to go to

Busting my ass to get everything ready... E30 broke on the way to Carlisle Import show last weekend, truck is taken apart in need of everything on the front suspension and two sticky calipers replaced. Have to do the following by friday morning:

Put truck back together, get tires mounted and have it aligned
Fix exploded steering line on E30 and figure out why the oil pressure light is coming on intermittently
Load up stash of E21/ E30 stuff in the truck (assuming its fixed)

                    Plan B:

Drive my Jetta and drink heavily when I get there.

SoWo last weekend and Vintage this weekend. I'll be in my ugly Bronzit E34, but down with the NCE30 Group.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about coming up to the vintage (last minute as I'm just considering it now), it would be my first year. My wife and I just hit SoWo this last weekend (I've been going to that show since it started 8 years ago, love it). That being said, what is the atmosphere like? Are rooms difficult to book last minute? When is the best day to be at the show? I imagine it's a lot more chill and a much different crowd than the typical SoWo/h20/Waterfest/etc. shenanigans. Definitely tempted though, and would like to meet up with some r3v'rs if I end up making the trip...

Part of the reason why I keep an e30 around is because of this one event (and im sure im not alone). Think of it as more of a gathering of vintage bmw car enthusiast. Its just as much as about BMWs as it is getting together with old friends and make new. Sure, looking at these old machines are great but the people make this event a must every year. This will be my 8th time going straight.

I just saw an email stating that there were some rooms available for the Hawthorne but that im sure went quick. Saturday night was booked up in February!

                              Now, see you there!!!

I know we snagged one of those Hawthorne rooms yesterday, it took about an hour of being on hold, but we got it. I can probably get you hooked up with a room at the Marriott, its $160 a night for friday and saturday.

And yeah, this event is pretty epic. The it brings all sorts of people and cars. So you'll see everything from garage queen 2002tii's to turbo monsters to clapped out e30s (who else would bring a clapped out car?) and the people who drive them.

Today is the deadline for signing up for the show, so do it quick!
