Awesome car, esp. since it was RWD!

For me, I don't wish I ever had any car I've had before (I never play repeats).

Take women for example, when I'm done with them,I look forward to future ones that will be ever better than the last! (this philosophy has never failed me yet, and I'm on my 5th marriage!)

You know, I don't long for past women. I do, however, long for ex-cars.

Cars are better than women because of this simple fact:
A car won't bitch and moan when you listen to its problems and fix it.

I would get another one of these....

I currently have a 2WD tacoma, but I miss the 4x4 and V6 grunt. It served me very well for several years without so much as a hiccup. Tough as nails truck. It's nice to have at least one car in the stable you don't have to worry about much.

A e46 m3. The only reason I sold mine is to get my e30 m3. (which was worth it, but I really liked my e46 too)

This picture was taken right after I clay bared the entire car and gave it a fresh coat of wax. Cleanest it ever was.
            Current:
            1989 325i
            1988 M3
            1987 325ic
            Past:
            2001 330ci
            2001 M3

I miss my 80s jeep wagoneer. Than thing was the best horse I ever had although the body was a complete turd.

I had my sisters 89 cherokee a winter before I traded it to a friend for an e30 vert~ that 'little' 4.0 was a very legitimate engine. The 74 J10 pickup was badass but I was broke and could never hope to fix all its problems.

Cars do too bitch and moan when you start exploding differentials and replacing rusty gas tanks. Oh wait, maybe that was just my wallet. ;-)

Love the '77 though. My friend has a '77 El Dorado in white, the old american luxury cars are really cool.
                Brace yourself........

Well for one, our province has North America's shittiest roads so the air suspension helped immensely as far as comfort goes. It's such a smooth car to begin with anyway. It's not fun to drive like an E30, but you feel cocooned, safe.

It had many little things that made for a great ride. They're not all that special, but once put together, they just made getting around more pleasurable than your average car. Heated seats (winter months between -15F and -35F), memory seats, 6-cd changer, luxury audio with Alpine speakers + 10" sub in the trunk (factory), radar for reverse, electrochromic mirrors, steering wheel controls for stereo and HVAC, driver's seat moved back when taking key out to ease entry/exit, keyless entry pad, motorized trunk (both opening and closing), analog clock, dual climate control, lots of cabin storage, door pulls, bench upfront for fun times on highway, cupholders incorporated in third front seat, lumbar support, really big trunk (even though the ergonomics are not the most convenient). Some hard plastics here and there, but plenty of leather as well.

Proven platform, proven engine, fairly cheap parts when compared to cars in the same category. For the price vs let's say a W220, you can't go wrong. Sure, its V8 is not the most fuel efficient, but I could get between 33 and 35mpg on the highway when driving responsibly. I figure gas is easier to budget than repairs coming out of nowhere. Given the price of entry, if a car in this segment is what you're after, you can't go wrong with a Town Car from that generation.

                Cheers

Miss this every now and again,

But I am happy with my 24v sedan for now, what I really want is a motorcycle, or maybe a Datsun 521 for a project.. Here is my new daily.

Bad move on my part. Made good money on it... It financed my 2002, and part of my e30s stroker, but still a bad move.

Perhaps I should not have sold this after I finished ... but it funded a e30 purchase & a few other things ...

                            XJ.

This was my third, and I will soon own a fourth. Something about them really makes me happy.

6 inch long arm was so impressive. Had such good times in that thing. Xfer case took a shit and I didn't have the resources to fix it, so I let it go. Really wish I hadn't done that looking back.

^+1 on the Jeep, bought a 1-owner 96 Cherokee Sport 4.0 in 2003. Sold it a year after we moved to Germany. We held onto it until we were sure things here would work out...;)

Also another e36 m3(though i'd settle for a 328i), listed it 7 days before we moved, sold 2 days later...

                              I also wouldn't mind another DSM....preferably 1g or GVR4.
