    1987 325is vs integra gsr

I remember a thread a while ago about e30 325is vs gsr. Well, I went to the track the other day and was up against an Inetgra gsr. He had a jump start (right lane foul) and I slowly creep up on him then the 1/4 mile end. Both cars got a great launch other than the foul and no miss shift. By the way, my m20 has 280,000 original miles. Just for future reference in case someone is carious.

Solid time. What tires are you running? Any suspension mods?

good enough for me. no wheels hop and grabbed after couple wheels spin. my other two runs have major wheel hop resulting in low 16s.

I have some bridgestone potenza on stock weave and on beat up H&R sport w/ bilstein sport. Also have akg motor mount, e21 tranny mount w/ akg cup, and akg subframe bushing. A day before heading to the track, i replaced the trailer arm bushing with oem rubber.

E30s arent great cars to drag race for exactly that reason. wheel hop = no bueno. if you go again you could drop your tire pressure, but a solid launch should be under the 2s. even a .1 you drop in the 60ft is about .15 at the other end. ;D

I don't usually go to the drag strip, so i won't be there any time soon. I'll diff lower the tire pressure and get it a shot next time I'm there.

It's all about how you work the clutch off the line. I have won many times against cars with much more power.
