    Heh... I love it when people think that FWD cars can't oversteer. Quite the opposite, especially performance-tuned FWD cars. They tend to have a LOT of neutral throttle/lift throttle oversteer, which actually makes them significantly LESS safe than RWD cars. RWD is perfectly safe so long as you don't drive like an asshole. For FWD to be safe, you basically have to drive like an asshole.

    I've never spun a RWD car, but I've spun a few FWD ones.

      Spoken with experience, I was about to explain basically the same thing. That and the fact that power understeer would more likely be the case of running over a curb than oversteer would be, all the oversteer i have ever experienced in my car (a lot :)) was intentional and controlled. The only way to regain control of massive understeer is easing off throttle and hoping, or if your a bit more skilled, yank the handbrake to cause a little oversteer, if you can.

      "Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

        Well said Insanity

        Total # of unintentional spins (on public roads)

        E30 = 0
        '95 318Ti = see E30
        '96 Camry LE = 3

        Sure FWD can't perform power oversteer, but the majority of oversteer instances are caused by lifting or going to hot into a corner

          ...and trail braking, guess that's still basically 'lifting'.

            I'm not a big fan of the R32, I drove one and it was quick, but is HEAVY and it did feel heavy. The interior was really pimp though. If you could shave alot of weight, it would be an awesome car.
