        well there is a difference between the 2, also are you talking about the sheet metal valance?

          remove the fasteners then valence should come off

            Remove bumper, remove bolts + screws that hold valance to body, remove valance.

                        well i got a transmission, drive shaft, center support, guibo, and trans mount today from the pull your own parts yard. forgot to get the convertible front swaybar, i'll go back and get it on monday.

                        the top clip on the trans was a bitch to find, and the top starter bolt and top e-16 bolt were a BITCH To get too.

                            well just sayin i'm not a completely retarded noob. i just wanted some pointers on getting the valence thing off. but i guess an 87 has a different one than an 88 so i couldnt even use it, even if it was good.

                              You can use any front e30 valance on your 88, but there are major differences between like the features they have and the way they mount hence why I was asking the exact year valance you wanted to know how to remove.
