i've done 2 cars in quality nappa leather. it does not crack, it is soft, looks better, feels better on hot/cold days, lasts longer, and the smell omg amazing.
proof that i've done it myself and know what i am talking about:

I'd recover it in gray. Everyone has or wants a black interior- meh.

Your seats are not even bad.. Am I the only one thinking that you should just clean those seats up, condition them, and use the money for maintenance?

We all know there is always wear parts that could fair to be replaced on these old cars.

If you choose to do your seats, then save up some more money and do it right Like said above. No reason dropping $400 now to make some not-so-shitty seats look better for a short amount of time.

I went black, and then went back. Sooooo much cooler on hot days, and classy.

                  1. You're spelling it wrong, it's vinyl.
                  2. Sit in a leather car seat
                  3. Both types need care, just that the reward from leather is better.

Vinyl dries and cracks as well. It also doesn't look or feel as good as real leather. The only real arguments for vinyl are if you have kids that will trash your leather or you can't afford it.

actually with kids I'd way rather have leather. it cleans up so much easier and is much more durable. the only way to really damage it is to cut it.

cloth seats suck most of all. after almost 5 years of having kids, my back seats still look nice while our family car's are trashed because everything stains cloth. I'll never buy a car without leather seats again..

I say keep the silber (grey) . I'm bias cus I swapped in almost full silber I to my car. I'll trade you black sport seats for your silbers!!!!! Last pieces I need now are two sport seats.
