Car enthusiast places to go in Ireland

I am going to Ireland in early August. I will mainly be in the Sligo and Galway area for some events.

If anyone can refer me to things a car enthusiast might like to do in that area, please let me know. Think - car shows or vintage car shows, car museums, junkyards with a lot of E30s, tracks, etc. Obviously, I like BMWs, but I like cars generally, including the Brit bits.

Trying to avoid buying an E30 Touring and shipping it back - the prices seem so good and I could probably get used to RHD.

Thanks much for any helpful suggestions.

If you find yourself in Dublin or Belfast, catch one of the ferries to the Isle of Mann and go for a drive. No speed limits once outside of town :)

I've never traveled to the region but hope to someday. Looks amazing.

I recall the Isle of Man from when Top Gear tested the E46 CSL there and, of course, their famous motorcycle race. I don't think that is a possibility.

      Thanks.

What! In going to Ireland in early August too! I hope to find smileys at the junker and ship them here with a hotels return address, preferably no return address at all.
