    Pretty surprised.

I am Jack's less broken heart.
Did they put a mileage cap on you, ask that it be garaged and that you have another newer vehicle ?

Those were all conditions when I had my collectors coverage, but then I only paid $74/yr

Note I see all 3 of those requirements on their website.

      Boy, I'd kill for $250 a year

I'm paying $500 every 6 months with Farmers. I do have 2 points though..

        I'm surprised they know it's a grey market car. I guess I shouldn't be.

Get it titled and registered as a 325i thats how mine is and is also through state farm. correcting that mistake did indeed bite you in the ass.

AAA also has a pretty killer classic car insurance policy.

Or try ANPAC. A lot of 02 guys use them as well with good results.

No, that is my webcam, I figured all the private room requests meant you knew it was me.

Yeah, in hindsight, it sucks, but if I left it that way and something happened, the might not have covered it in the event of a loss, right?

Not sure on that I would think it wouldnt matter cause really all they care about is the value of the car all e30's look relatively the same so the insurance agent would have to look at the vin tags and such. Idk about you but on my US vin tag has 320i vin number but is modeled as a 325i. the rules on gray market cars are so confusing.

nvm my vin tag has the year wrong.... says its from 85 probably to coincide with the 85 325i title

I wouldn't count on coverage if an insurance company has some amount of wiggle room.

+1 on progressive. I DD'd my '85 745i for five years w/them. Never had an issue.

Wow, I am glad I saw this thread. Even being 21, and 2 moving violations, I can still get $500 comp and $1000 collison on my m3 for under $800 a year.

                        Just submitted an application...fingers crossed.

I put agreed value at $28,000. I think thats fair.

Some require estimates and detailed photos. Depends on company.

Back to State Farm....did you call them and question it? Honestly your paying your premiums why the ____ do they honestly care how this ancient car came into the country so long as it's legal?

I don't use them but seems there has been a lot of changes in the industry over the last few years.

Parts are more expensive, not DOT approved, they don't have access to crash ratings (if they even exist), so may be bullshit but quite a few reasons from their perspective

Mines not sub 100k miles so im not sure if it would go for that...maybe ill increase the agreed value, i dont know. We will see.
