To be honest, other than miles, you cant really tell a difference in condition between my 111k mile car and the 40k mile one that just popped up on ebay.Current:
1989 325i
1988 M3
1987 325ic
Past:
2001 330ci
2001 M3

Well, a buddy of mine always wins concours events and is consistently offered much more money then other low mile versions of the same car. His 69 shelby gt350 has over 450k miles on it, but is mint.
He is the one that told me not to worry about mileage when buying a collector car, look at condition. Once the car hits 50k miles, it's not a low mile car in the collector wold anyways, it's a survivor.Originally posted by codyep3I hope to Christ you have looks going for you, because you sure as fuck don't have any intelligence.

Back to State Farm....did you call them and question it? Honestly your paying your premiums why the ____ do they honestly care how this ancient car came into the country so long as it's legal?
I don't use them but seems there has been a lot of changes in the industry over the last few years.
He told me a day later they were going to need an EPA letter, as well as a DOT letter as per State Farm Underwritting.
I pulled a C@RF@X and I called back a few days later, and let him know the car was properly imported via Portland, OR in late 1987, and was cleared by the DOT at that time. He checked with his underwriters and they requested a copy of the title, a picture of the car, and a copy of the report I'd pulled. With that information, they decided to honor the insurance policy and to reverse the cancellation of insurance.
My weekend has been made.

So Hagerty and USAA are now my people. Better rates and coverage. The service is great. They actually are polite.

I tried to get collector insurance on my 1962 Scout from State Farm (whom i have several cars and house with) and they said to drive it up to my agent to take pictures. They walked outside and actually laughed at my truck. So apparently your vehicle also has to be "nice" as well.
Lol.
Great news on your success, Farbio.
