What about my silky smooth, perfectly conditioned hair? Will it get messy? When I drive with the windows down in the coupe is just chaos for my mop.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

I'm losing my hair so it just accelerated the process for me. Only downfall so far of owning the car.

Does the rear shade thingy make the flow of air any less destructive?

With the wind blocker and the windows up you get just a whisp of air over your noggin. Very similar to having the sunroof open on a coupe.

I've driven my 'vert to work at 29 degrees and the heater on...no problemo.

Wouldn't want to do this just cause of how incredibly douchey it looks. I'm sure it's fun though.

Understandable, I just cringe when I see someone with the top down in my area after it just finished snowing 5 and a half feet.

^I think it's weird when I see someone top-down when it's cold. But I totally do it too. I say fuck'em. If someone thinks I'm a douche, that's on them. I also roll with the windows up, and that used to look douchey to me too, but now, not so much. Because it's mo comfortabler. And sometimes, in the summer, I'll have the top down, AND the ac on. I'm so fancy...

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Part of the reason I bought the vert is because the A/C in my E30 needs to be revamped (needs new condenser and more efficient fan) so my solution was to look into verts

Going to check out a vert for my friend today; is there anything in particular we should look out for that differs from a hardtop?

I didn't know shit about Verts when I bought one but I wish I did because I would have probably held out on a much better one.

Rusty rockers, broken rear windows, a top with good tension straps so it folds down well, and a boot lid with a working strut is what I wish I looked for. Just makes folding the top down SO MUCH EASIER.

Also, manual top would be preferred. Those electric motor latche ones are prone to failure I've heard.

condition of the top is honestly the only thing that pops into my head.

Yea, mine is dead, but I just disengaged the cable linkage, so it is practically a manual top.
