buying an e30 vert is one of the best decisions you can make
Yeah I'm really upset you guys never posted up about how important it is to own a vert. I used to DESPISE verts until buying one now having a 2dr sedan and the vert goes hand in hand. I agree, a properly sorted vert E30 is a god damn amazing experience.
Right? I wanted a coupe with plans to maybe add a turbo, I never in a million years thought I would want a convertible of any type. But then I saw a deal that was to good not to look at while we were on vacation in Florida on a convertible. I didn't buy that one but my wife got super excited and a few weeks later I ended up with a Calypso vert and I must admit; I love it. It's way different/better than I thought it would be; even with the auto. it is gonna suck when I have to put her away for the winter.
The other thing I didn't plan on was how much my wife loves it. We were driving with the kids yesterday and she was like, "You know, I'd like to have an Alpine White E30 convertible. I would love that!" Maybe I'll get to add that turbo after all. . .
Thank god, R3V was getting boring since the ginger kid wrecked his car. - Stonea
Hot summer nights are just great in a cabrio but really I can be happy with almost any condition. When there is a bit of a nip in the air, heated seats and full heat (floor only to protect the dash). I personally like the look of my top up, mostly because it compliments the rest of the car.
My wife fell in love with my Alpine MT2 that I brought back to life but 3 e30s was a bit much. I sold my very well sorted coupe and kept my triple blue. I even had a stint with a well sorted E36 cabrio, nice but no e30.
This is usually how we spend our evenings...some sort of sweet run.
Haven't read all of this but I'll share this life stat of mine. I've owned 8 e30's the first 5 were coupes or 4 doors, since I got my first vert 2 cars ago I've only owned verts.

Whenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"
I am on my third convertible and really enjoy it. The last few weeks have been great going up to Connecticut for Gfest and Saratoga for another show. I have to thank for my father for my convertible addiction! Lol
Just buy one people and drive it. I used to be the ultimate hater of verts, now all I want are verts. It was like being 17 and driving my first E30 again.
