ANYONE with a spec-ops background can make tons of money, either thru expertise or good old boy networking.
As for trained bloodthirsty killers, maybe in training phase. Then, if you are hot shit, you can go beyond Seals/SF to other agencies.
Keep in mind 4th and 5th gen warfare are more about "out g'ing the G's(guerillas)" to quote Hackworth.
Hearts and minds...Help the locals dig a well, innoculate their livestock, treat them as "equals", and THEY will do the killing for you. It is no longer about bodycounts, more about providing a better system/infrastructure/society than your enemy can for the populace of contested ground.
As for Seal Challenge...when I went thru basic, they ALWAYS asked if you want to try out for this or that. Scoring well on PT and ASVAB are just the basics. Long way to go. Go for it, just know that the whole point of the courses is to make you wash out. That way the military does not have to worry about you punking out when things get difficult. Read some of the books from the events at Chosin Reservoir, or Viet Nam POW's. That is what these guys are being prepared for.
