Hey Mike, where's a good place to find some 4x100 rims? Are they fairly inexpensive compared to the US? The problem with rims here is that no one makes a good 4x100 rim in a rwd offset (25 or under) as the only RWD cars that have such lug pattern are the older BMWs and Miatas (even then they have a higher offset than we do)

and Mariano, I will be parting out my red M tech I here in a few weeks, we can work out a great price on the M tech stuff- but you need to find a way to ship it. It is all to big to fit through reg. mail, and shipping it through a shipping company will be alot.

Another thing. Are they the non-dog eared ones? I cant remember. One more thing is, what are my options of shipping. Lets say I DO have to pay out the nose to ship it. Who can ship it and what would be a ballpark cost, even if it IS expensive. Just to get an idea. And yet one last thing, will they fit a 4 door?

I'm busy May 5 - 15 but other than that its all fun and games ;) I'd love to hit up the museums as I haven't been yet. Or even go over and meet Yan for a day at the ring. I've got an e90 320iTD rental right now that wold be TITS to get on that thing ;)

there are no" super E30 junkyards" in germany. The E30 is so old now, that most german junkyards dont even keep them there for more than a day- no germans buy the parts from them. On the U.S. Army bases, they have junkyards, and you will find a few E30s in them- but you wont be able to get into a base, unless you are with a soldier, and most good stuff will be gone, cause there are plenty of soldiers that sell the stuff on ebay. I really wouldnt plan on finding any goldmine when you come over. there is a lot of good stuff, but you have to wait for it to just come about.

as far as 4x 100 rims go, its basically the same here. Mostly front wheel drive stuff for the old golfs, and hondas. heck, i have been thinking of buying Kopis for years from the states, cause i cant even find them here in germany. There are plenty of rims to get here, but i will forewarn you, they are alot more expensive here new-than the average tire rack price.- then you will pay a min of 50 dollars a rim to ship them over to the states-unless max is a very helpful guy.

I am not saying there are no E30 parts, I am just saying you are crazy if you think you will walk into a junkyard here and even find 1 piece of M tech parts.-
or some uber rare part for an E30. there is stuff to be had, but alot is to big to ship. I am sure these guys will report back when they get back.


I dont know if i am going to go all the way up to the ring- its a 5 hour drive from here if you are hauling ass. we will see though, if a bunch of people decide to meet up, I will be there too.

How much is it to buy an e30 in w/e condition in Germany? I'll just buy it... rape it for the month and be done :) Shit, I'd sell my 318i to do it :)

I paid 150 for my red rocket, but it was a stocker 316i with a blown motor.
you can get a nice E30 for about 1000-1500, but registering it, and insurance would really be a hassle beyond belief for you.
better to just rent a diesel and beat the crap out of it while your here. heck, the new diesels are faster than the E30s on the autobahn anyway, and have almost the same HP, and get twice the gas mileage. and that matters----

One thing, Mike. Are you also selling the bumpers along with it? Like the chromies? Or will I have to get those as well? I can probably get those over here. JUst wondering. :D Man Im excited. Marakka it would be great to meet you!! Where do all of you live? Im trying to stay from middle Germany southward. But at this point, I can just take a train anywhere seeing as everything is so relatively close in Europe. Im going to be coming from Barcelona, Spain where my brother is studying.
