    First ride in m3

So guy at my school tells me there is a red m3 in the parking lot thats the same body style as mine, but they dont know if its real. Im thinking, uh oh, someone loaded up with m badges and spoilers, so I go check it out.

Much to my suprise there it is, red e30 m3. M5 18s and looked to be lowered. The owner saw us out there and I got to talk with him. Then he took me for a ride. Wow, I was expecting it to lack low end, but I didnt even notice it. It got into the upper rpm range quick, and pulled very good especially for a motor with 163k. Guy told me his parents handed it down to him, but he hasnt had it out in about 6 months because people fuck with it. And indeed some people keyed the fenders pretty bad. This is also the first one I'd seen close up.

All in all, very nice car, and in pretty good shape for its age. Definitely an experience ive been waiting for, now ive been in an e30 with every type of motor.

I had the same experience this week and might buy it now. It doesn't have an interior, front bumper, valence, passanger side headlight but I was really excited to see one. If I get it I am putting a cage, harnesses and seats, fixing the bumper and having me a nice track rat.

I got a ride from my instructor at a drivers school. I'm not sure what he had done to his engine, but he was winding it out to 7500+. He was also on stiff coilovers, and 225/50 slicks. That was quite a ride...

There ar ea few of our local members who have them. I dream of theirs and they dream of my engine.

They are an angry little bumble bee that stings, though.
        Im now E30less.

EtaSport, you've been into E30s for how long, and this is the first E30 M3 you've seen up close? That's crazy!

Its been almost 4 years since I've been big into them. Ive seen them on the road, but never got to look at one. Where I come from there arent many e30s running around at all, and I only knew of 1 guy with an m3. Here in baltimore, there are many more though.

As did I. Few things are more fun that drifting into a Shari's parking lot at full oppposite-lock, completely parallel to the driveway entrance. :D

That's the only one I've ever ridden in, though. Ted told me that at some point though, he'll probably let me drive his.

I had a similar experience( 2.5, gutted interior, avon slicks), although it was a couple autox runs instead. Needless to say, funnest I've ever had in a car.

Drove Cale's (postmaster's) old E30 M3. God damn, love the car. The thing winded up so well.

That car really is a track car right out of the box, the engine LOVES the track!

                          I love e30 m3's. heh
