        There where a few cars that had these long before the 80s. Mustangs, Challengers, Cudas, Camaros, Firebirds, think some AMCs had them also.

          Had a set on my 72 240z back in the late 80's. Also on a hinge so easy to clean.

                I second this and if I new anything on how to use CFRP I would be all over it. Keen at attempting to make some for my car actually I think that look sweet.
