Ebay Chips ? Anyone with experience from a specific seller?

    *Puts Flame suit on*

Hey guys, I'm lookin to buy an ebay chip and I've narrowed it down to a few, can anyone tell me if they've got experience with any of the following sellers ?

    Bargains_OC

    Chiptuning-BMW Ac Schnitzer

    Sapporo10 Pro Formance

    Racing.Pros

I'm on a bit of a budget right now so I figure these are my best choices,

Any help not including bashing the ebay chips would be greatly appreciated !
    Thanks

I bought one for the 318is made a difference due to the fact a hill I used to drive up required 2nd gear, but once I used the $30 ebay chip I was able to hit it in 3rd.

I can remember the name but most seem to be ok I used mine for about 3 years.

If you're on a budget I wouldn't recommend a knock-off chip that could very likely lead to some rather expensive repairs.

There's always your fellow canadian Walter Dysilva (EAT Tuning) for one (of many) decent option.

I have a racing pros, it works fine, the butt-dyno says there's more torque. They also enclose instructions too.

seeing how nobody paying for a $30 cloned chip is going to pay $150 to dyno it, there's no way any of you guys know there is a real gain. for all you know, it could just be a stock tune they are selling you.

E mail the seller and ask them what brand name chip the tune is"most similar to",you will likely get a response,I know I have in the past.

I had a dyno day with the BMW club there was a stock 318is and mine with a ebay chip he pulled 83kw I pulled 93kw so I would guess there were some differences due to age etc so ruffly about 8-10% power gain but that is just an estimate really

^^that is the one that i have. didnt buy it, a friend gave it to me.

butt dyno thinks the car "feels" quicker. other than that it raises the redline to 6900rpm, but once the car actually revs past 6400rpm you can tell the power gain is no longer linear and it actually flattens out.

Buy a used, genuine chip here on the boards. Took a few weeks but I found a MarkD chip for my ETA for around $75 shipped. Helped a fellow member while keeping the pirated shit off the street.

Never budget on engine performance. As stated previously, just by a good used one if you are on that tight of a budget. My personal preference is SSSquid.

Used one in my m42 and m50, definitely not a placebo. Switched back and forth around smog time. Both worked great, m42 made it to around 450k when I sold it, owned since 160k, first mod I did.

I decided to purchase the chip off Bargains_OC, it seemed they had the highest and most feedback as well as an overall decent rep online. Will post a little blurb of how it goes once I receive/install the chip

                          Thanks

I bought one and my car wouldn't start on it, he sent another that fried my ecu. I wouldn't do it again - can't remember seller.
