Opinion on Startec's?

What is everyones thoughts on startec tail lights?

I personally think are absolutely hideous, I can't wrap my head around why someone would ever put them on an E30 let alone pay out the ass for them. I see them pop on on the forms now and again and cringe just at the thought of them. The make the e30 look so cheap. In all honesty you could not pay me to put them on my car. Im sure I have offended all you die hard e30ists, just feel like ranting.

Does anyone else feel the same way or am I alone?

That being said there are two different tints. But as I say to most your entitled to your opinion, but I have my own as well and it's different. Why the odd post did you get beat out on an auction for a set?

I say meh. It's one of those things that I'd have to be making or sitting on, a bunch more money than I am now in order to purchase. Like a Ferrari.

off the car they look like faded tail lights but they look pretty awesome installed I wouldn't pay more than $400 and they wont fit my car anyways

No not at all, I true think they are just hideous. I just dont understand why people would pay $400+ for taillights let alone ugly ones.

It's okay, I use to really dislike them as well, but they eventually grew onto me.
Kind of like diving boards when I was new to e30's.

Yeah, I never really got it. It's too...monochromatic. I never liked any kind of tint, though, so I'm obviously not the target demographic. Fine with me though, one less expensive thing to pine for.

Never liked them. I usually don't even like it when people make the turn signal the same color as the brakes and tails.
