Clean it and sell. Slamming it will create an even smaller market in an already small market. Post pic.

if you can lower it for cheap and correctly youd have a better chance of getting more money for it, those cars are "cool" now so youd appeal to more people if they only had to throw a nice set of wheels on it and rock it vs buying a stock car and having to do all the work themselves..
realistically how many "normal" people are on the market for a stock merc wagon anymore that are willing to pay a fair price
i had a moderately low 190e a few years ago that i flipped for 3x what i had into it, previous owner had it on craigslist (stock) for almost 2 months and i was the first to look at it.. i sold it in 3 days of putting it for sale

if i was in the market for one of these(i am not), i would glance at your ad and think some retarded kid is selling a shittily modified car and move on to the next one.
        Exactly!
Wash it, put in a new battery, fix the little issues and make it a going concern and you'll find a buyer at a profit.
Slam it [shudder] and you've eliminated 90% of your market. Even if some Dummy(tm) wanted to slam it why would they necessarily agree with your slamming method as opposed to their pet method?

A few random thoughts on the topic:

This is like building a 50k pool in your backyard so your house goes up 20k in value.

Only do mods for your own taste and not to make a profit because you will never make $$ unless you are in the industry.

Also. Maybe not today, but as these cars age, clean stock cars will demand a larger premium. You see this in many makes & models that were dirt cheap 10 years ago so they were abused on average. Then when people finally wake up, there's only a small supply of all original cars for owners to either view as a blank canvas for their own "tasteful" mods or to act as the car's current preserver.

Don't slam. Even though I'm into slammed cars, when looking to buy a new one, I prefer one that is stock ALL DAY long. That way, the history is more trustworthy, and you have the chance to do it the RIGHT way without fixing all the POs fuck ups.

Get her a wash n wax, clean it up real good, and leave it as is. People love these wagons, usually the older folks.
